Born in 1992, Sudan - Omdurman

Residence and works in Saudi Arabia - Riyadh

The visual artist, calligrapher and designer Akram Abdullah Al-Sheikh Idris,

holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts, specializing in Arabic calligraphy and Islamic

decoration, graduated from the University of Sudan for Science and

Technology - College of Fine and Applied Arts in 2016. Since his graduation

from the College of Arts, he has participated and contributed to many

competitions and art exhibitions in Arab countries. He won the Afrabia

Award for Arab and African Youth in 2015. He has participated in several

group exhibitions, including: Afro-Baba Costa Group Exhibition 2016 - Dual

Exhibition The Antiquity of the Letter and the Beauty of the Word - Al-Junaid

Cultural Hall 2016 - Solo Exhibition Once She Saw - Rashid Diab Art Gallery 2017

Participation in the Sharjah Biennale for Calligraphy 2018 - Participation

Association 2018, the artist Akram's works focus on the axis of developing and

consolidating the Arab identity in designing lines and decorations with multiple

materials and materials, and forming Arabic lines in contemporary and advanced

forms, so as to create a bridge between the past and the present.
